The results from the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition are in, and we’re excited to share that all three of Green River’s new releases this year brought home some hardware:

Green River Honey Finished Bourbon — Gold
Green River Wheated Full Proof — Gold
At Green River, our focus has always been on making whiskey we’re proud to put our name on. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, no inflated pricing. Just great bourbon made by people who care about getting it right.
That philosophy guided every one of these releases:
- Distillery Select Toasted Double Oak is our oldest Green River bourbon release to date: Eight-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged in our signature clay tile rickhouses before spending six additional months in new toasted American oak barrels.
- Wheated Full Proof took the bourbon mashbill that earned World’s Best Bourbon honors at the 2025 NYWSC and bottled it the way many fans asked for it: full proof and full flavor.
- Green River Honey Finished Bourbon took a different approach to flavored whiskey by starting with four-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon and finishing it with 100% real honey in the barrel.
We’re grateful to the judges at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, but we’re even more grateful to the whiskey drinkers who continue to support Green River and make moments like this possible.
