Wheated bourbon uses wheat instead of rye as the secondary flavoring grain in the mash bill, creating a smoother, softer flavor profile with notes of honey, vanilla, and caramel. Green River’s wheated bourbon expression bourbon just won New York World Spirit Competition’s Best Bourbon award.. Wheated bourbons are prized by consumers for their softer palette.
Green River operates two locations in Kentucky:

Single barrel bourbon comes from one individual barrel, offering unique flavor characteristics specific to that barrel’s location in the rickhouse and aging conditions. Each barrel varies slightly, making every single barrel selection truly one-of-a-kind. Small batch bourbon blends a limited number of barrels (although there is no defined definition) to create a consistent flavor profile. Green River offers both single barrel selections in wheated and traditional bourbon, as well as carefully blended expressions for those seeking consistency.
Green River offers several tour and tasting experiences:
